The Rising of the Shield Hero

Four heroes from another world, each wielding a different weapon: a sword, a spear, a bow, and a shield, are summoned to save the world from catastrophe. After a short intro to Naofumi Iwatani, a 20-year-old college student with otaku(a Japanese term for people obsessed with anime and manga) tendencies is teleported to Melromarc and is surprised to see that he has become the shield hero. And that is how The Rising of the Shield Hero or Tate no Yūsha no Nariagari begins. Based on the Japanese light web novel series written by Aneko Yusagi, the story was re-written with an expanded story-line by Aiya Kyū. After a cold welcome from his summoners, he and the other heroes are taken to the King, who explains that there are going to be a wave of attacks that need to be dealt with to avoid the end of the world. While the other heroes get plenty of help, Naofumi is the only hero to get one support partner to volunteer to join him, who is later robbed then accused of raping the second princess.
