Developed by NetherRealm Studios, the latest installment of the Mortal Kombat series as arrived. Following Shinnok’s defeat in Mortal Kombat X, a corrupted Raiden plans to protect Earthrealm by destroying all its enemies. However, a mysterious goddess named Kronika the Keeper of Time is attempting to bring order to the universe through any means necessary, including getting rid of Raiden for tampering with the events of the past. Kronika sets out to recruit warriors from the past and present to help her correct the timeline that Raiden has altered.

One of the fun things in this version of MK is seeing the young and older versions of fan favorite characters fighting each other with the added ability to customize the look of the fighters. Another new addition to MK is ‘Krushing Blows’ and ‘Fatal Blows.’ Krushing Blows are a special cinematic variation of a given special move, triggered when certain requirements are met. Fatal Blows deal a large amount of damage, but only become available when a player’s health drops below 30%, and can only be performed once per match.
