Will Smith is comparing his new film, Emancipation, to Django Unchained..did you know that Will Smith turned down the lead role in Django Unchained (that ultimately went to Jamie Foxx) because of creative differences with Quentin Tarantino? This will mark Will Smith’s 1^st movie about slavery, stating he didn’t want to play black men in that light, he wanted to play superheroes and roles that Tom Cruise would have been cast in. Very admirable…and let’s hope Emancipation does well – Will Smith needs a hit like I need a week-long stay in detox.

Melissa McCarthy said that playing Ursula for the live action version of The Little Mermaid was glorious!  You know what wasn’t glorious? Identity Theft, Thunder Force, Life of the Party, Tammy, The Boss…

Woody Harrelson has come out!  He has come out as saying he hated his wig in the first Venom movie. Uh…first of all, trust, your wig was NOT the worst part of the first Venom movie. AND, you have no hair in real life. Don’t be picky! 

Want to find out who the new James Bond will be??? Too bad…there will be no discussions as to Daniel Craig’s replacement until after a proper goodbye is had for the actor in the final installment of his Bond. BUT, please let it be Tom Hardy, please let it be Tom Hardy…Tom Hardy makes me hardy. 

James McAvoy really wants to play a young Patrick Stewart as Captain Picard in Star Trek. But he stays that he is getting too old and it just isn’t feasible…girl…did you see Dear Evan Hansen? Obviously, age is not an issue 

So far, Harley Quinn and Spiderman are the highest selling costumes for this season’s Halloween. After COVID the only costume I’m considering is Fred Flintstone or a paper sack. Happy Halloweenie! 

There’s a Super Mario movie coming out – the cast has been revealed and voicing the animated characters will be Chris Pratt as Mario, Charlie Day as Luigi, Anya Taylor-Joy (from Queen’s Gambit) as Princess Peach, and Jack Black and Seth Rogen as Bowser and Donkey Kong. While some of the gaymer nerds are very excited, Italian Americans and others have attacked the film in hilarious memes regarding Chris Pratt (not an Italian) playing the famed Mario. I’m still mad I couldn’t get past level 7 on Super Mario Bros in elementary school. 

Speaking of cartoon movies, Heathcliff the cat’s movie and TV rights have been acquired by Legendary studios. There’s an entire generation who doesn’t know who the hell Heathcliff is…and…let’s be honest…we didn’t see the Garfield movies…meow! 

William Shatner aka Captain Kirk is going into space!  FOR REAL! This 90 year old man will be traveling in Jeff Bezos’s Blue Origin into outer space. OK, that’s cool. Meanwhile, George Takei is somewhere going um…helloooo??

Wedding Crashers 2 is being ruined by Owen Wilson’s taking apart in the Haunted Mansion reboot. But, Vince Vaughn is like, hello, I have to pay rent! 

Fantastic Beasts 3 official has a title – Secrets of Dumbledore. The secret is, he’s sassyyyy….maybe he’ll give his secrets to being a great bottom. We know that his character is gay, so this title is just hilarious.  No secrets between magicians!
