These beautiful words, “I DO” — two sweet words that mean so much!  In love we reference these two words to a commitment that propels us into a lifetime of togetherness, of oneness.  “I Do”, says YES, I will spend my life with YOU.  It is a choice of love, to live in love with another and to honor our beloved with a yes that is larger than life, larger than any challenge that comes along this path we are upon. It is an agreement of unconditional love in unconditional ways.  “I Do” is stating, I will, and I am in for the long journey.  It is a big, beautiful, bold choice indeed.

So, what are you saying “I Do” to?  Are you saying “I Do” to love? Or are you saying “I Do” to loving you?  These two words are not just meant towards and for another, they are meant for you. You are forever in a relationship with yourself, the most important relationship you will ever have.  So, in this moment, consider what you are committing to YOU!  Are you saying yes to loving yourself unconditionally?  Are you saying yes to more self-care?  Are you saying yes to your individual self-expression?  Are you saying yes to self-forgiveness?  Your yes, your “I Do” to you, must come first before your “I Do” to another.  Our commitment to ourselves assists us to honor our commitment to another.  As we stay alert to loving ourselves, we then stay alert to loving others.  It is an inside job first and foremost.

This season of love is meant for you.  With every breath you take, choose to allow love to lead the way.  Your “I Do” to love can be the light you are led by and will be the opening of a pathway to find the love you wish, or it will illuminate you to be more present in the love you have.   As we choose to be more loving in our hearts, to express our love to others, we then are more open to receive love from others.  We are here to love, in all ways, always, to love.  This day be willing to grow your “I Do” to you and expand your acts of self-love.  Then prepare yourself, for as your inner light begins to shine more brightly, the abundance of love from others, will come rushing your way!  Your “I Do” for partnership begins with your “I Do” for YOU!

“In a state of love, we are magnets for love.  We are literally more lovable and more enjoyable to love.”   — Marianne Williamson, Enchanted Love
