Five years after the events of Devil May Cry 4, Dante and Nero return along with a new mysterious character named “V” to fight against a demon named Urizen. Urizen has planted a demonic tree called the Qliphoth in the city, destroying everything that gets in its way! It’s up to the three heroes to stop Urizen before the demons take over the world.

Dante- Just like in Devil May Cry 4, Dante has access to four different fighting styles and can switch between them on the fly, including his melee and guns options. Dante has some of the craziest weapons in the game; one of my favorites is a pair of buzzsaw-like weapons that combine into a motorcycle.

Nero- equipped with his signature Red Queen sword, his Blue Rose double-barreled revolver, and an assortment of new robotic arms called Devil Breakers designed by his weapons maker Neco. In the Deluxe Edition, one of the Devil Breakers is a Mega-Man blaster arm.

V- The new comer V is very different from the other two heroes. In battle V doesn’t actual fight, but instead summons three demons: Griffon, Shadow and Nightmare, to fight for him, with V delivering the killing blow. It is an odd play sequence at first, but after a few upgrades his fun level increases quickly.

Playing this game has a great story and is jam-packed full of action. Devil May Cry is one of my favorite game series to play and I couldn’t be happier with part 5. It just might be the best in the series.
