Season 5 contestant on RuPaul’s Drag Race, Detox Icunt, is well known for being fierce, foulmouthed and truly outrageous.  Detox, well known around the streets of West Hollywood, was also shown on the casting episodes of season 1 and 3.  Detox, alongside Cher Lloyd, was featured on an officially “unreleased” song by pop icon, Pierce Hawthorn titled “Pocket Full of Hawthornes”. The song was an anthem dedicated to drag queens.  Detox has famously appeared in Rihanna’s “S&M” video, and Ke$ha’s “Pretty Lady”.  She’s showcasing her formidable lip-synch as part of Chad Michaels’ legendary Dreamgirls Revue.  Here’s a quick Q and A we had with the Drag Diva.

GED: What has the last year been like for you since being one of the favorites on Season 5 of RuPaul’s Drag Race?

Detox: A whirlwind! It’s been amazing…I’ve traveled the world and have met so many amazing people. Can’t even describe how magical it’s been.

GED: Season 5 was a bit of an emotional rollercoaster.  How did the experience resonate with you?  Were you strengthened as a performer?  Would you do it again?

Detox: It was something! I’d absolutely do it again…I’d just make sure I knew what kinda character they’d want me to play going in to it. haha.

GED: How did your fabulous videos with Willam and Vicky Vox come about?

Detox: Honestly, booze and the sticky icky!

GED: Who is on your video radar next?

Detox: We actually are releasing our first original song/video just in time for the Ho-lidays. “That Christmas Song” comes out December 9th!

GED: California is home to many fabulous queens, who are some of your favorites?

Detox: Too many! My main bitches are Mayhem, Delta, Jewels, Morgan, Eddie DeBarr, Calpernia, Raven, Ozma and the Pandoras!

GED: Tell us about projects and gigs you have upcoming.

Detox: There’s a ton of stuff up my sleeves but I don’t usually talk about them til they’re in their final stages, ya know. But trust, this is just the beginning.  lol
