Now based in Los Angeles, she has performed at some of the Largest LGBT events in the country, including Los Angeles Pride, San Diego Pride and Jeffrey Sanker’s White Party, which she is returning to this year! GED Magazine sat down for this exclusive interview with Nikki.

You made your U.S. debut at last year’s White Party, and we can honestly say you put on quite the performance. You had great energy and really got the crowd pumped. How was it performing for your first time in the states?

I was so excited to sing at such a big event. It has always been a dream of mine to sing outside of my country, and when Jeffrey Sanker invited me to perform at White Party, I honestly couldn’t believe it.  In Brazil, Europe, America… when I’m on the stage it is all about love. We speak the same language and it was amazing to know that I have fans outside Brazil singing my songs.

We’re looking forward to seeing you perform at this year’s White Party. What can we expect? Any new surprises/music?

This year I’m super happy to share the stage with one of my best friends and an amazing singer, Amannda. We have written songs together since 2011, but it is going to be the first time that we have really put a show together. Our new single, “Don’t You Dare,” gave us more energy to produce this new show and I’m sure you are all going love it!

You’ll also be performing this year at the biggest Pride of them all, World Pride New York. New York is going to be the gay party center of the world. What does “pride” mean to you?

I’m honored to be part of my second World Pride. Two years ago I had my debut in Spain at Madrid World Pride. Such an amazing moment where everyone is together celebrating our right to love and be loved! This year New York will host all those amazing people that, like me, are super excited to experience the feeling of being proud of who we are. Not only New York, but I’m happy to be part of several gay prides all over the world and each year I feel that people are more engaged and I’m happy to be part of it.

Your newest single “Wonder Night” with Leanh debuted at #1 on the itunes Brazil electronic music chart. That’s exciting. Tell us about the single and how you felt with its big debut.

“Wonder Night” was a gift for our fans in Chile. We never expected would be such a great success. We did the song to be the theme of a party and people liked it. 2 weeks later decided to release it in the digital platforms and we were number #1. All this support of our fans all over the world makes us more inspired to create more and more songs.

You made a big move from Brazil to Los Angeles. How has LA treated you so far? Are you missing Brazil?

I feel home in Los Angeles. I was already used to traveling and sometimes it is hard to be away from our family. Of course, I miss my country and my friends, but it’s so amazing to be able to take my music to other countries and learn from all the different cultures, that I feel comfortable wherever I am in the world.

You spend a lot of time with Eliad Cohen, and you both appear to have great chemistry together. What’s

he like in person?

Eliad is like a brother to me. We met in Brazil many years ago and it was love at first sight. He’s an amazing human being and the person I trust to advise me about everything in my personal and professional life. He is like the family I take everywhere I go. I’m happy we can work together doing the Papa Party in so many places and also now, we actually live in the same neighborhood in LA. Be sure we will create a lot of new things together for our fans.

If you could collaborate with any DJ in the world, that you haven’t yet, who would it to be?

There are so many amazing producers I still want to work with. If I had to choose one producer from our circuit scene, I would say Offer Nissim. We have already spoken about it and I hope it can happen soon.

You have a new tour and you’re traveling all around the world… where are you most  excited to perform?

I have many new places that I am performing in this year, but I must say that my debut in Asia is making me very excited! I never thought I could travel so far with my music and I’m excited to perform in Bangkok for SongKran 2019, on April 13th!

Everyone has a “hidden/secret talent,” something that not many people know about… what is your “hidden talent”?

Well, I think I’m so active on my social media that nothing is really hidden! Lol. But, I love yoga. Sometimes people are surprised by that. Something funny is that I can eat an incredible amount of hot sauce  without complaining. Is that a talent? Lol
