In the midst of this thing called life, we have the opportunity to love.
In the midst of this thing called life, we have the blessing to be loved.
In the midst of this thing called life, we can choose to keep our hearts open, even when it is hard… especially when it is hard. We can stay present to the love that is in our lives and open to the love we give to others.
In the midst of this thing called life, we can choose to be loving.

Love is why we are here. It is why we come into human form, to give and receive love in unlimited measure. This is our journey in this life. Without love, without our connection to others, our purpose would not be fulfilled. So, this day, this new year, let us consider how our love can begin to expand and grow in profoundly deep ways.

I often hear people expressing that they are searching for love, are wanting more of it and too many times feeling that they are not loved, not good enough to be loved. The essence of love holds so much for each and every one of us, it is something we all want and desire. Our charge in life is to remember that to receive love and to give it is a choice. That our depth of worthiness, and our willingness to love ourselves through our belief of unworthiness, is our pathway to heal, to be willing to allow more love into our hearts. When we begin to choose it, to take a stand to be loving and to be vulnerable in our loving, then life begins to unfold in magical ways. It is a choice, a conscious choice to choose love, to take a stand for love and to be loving. Let us this day choose wisely and consciously.

Where can you be more compassionate and loving to yourself and to those around you today? Where can you forgive yourself and others? Where can you acknowledge and express appreciation for your life this day? I often invite my clients to ask these questions and then two more very, very important questions as often as possible. They are:

“What is the most loving thing I can do for myself in this moment?”
“What is the most loving thing I can do for another?”

Ask, and then listen. Spirit will lead the way with answers that will crack your heart open. Be willing to follow the inner guidance and stretch in your YES to love fully and completely. We do not need to go anywhere to find love, or search the internet for it to be revealed to us. Each and every one of us carries within our DNA, the love code. We are encoded to love. To give love and receive love, that is the essence of our human existence. As we stay open to creating all pathways for giving and receiving more love, our lives will change and our world will shift. Let us choose to amplify love with every breath we take. I invite you to open your heart, take a breath, and remember in the midst of life, to choose LOVE!
