Casa Cupula Inaugurates 16^th Season with Expanded Spa

Perhaps its all the political fighting in the US.  Or maybe it’s the decreasing size of airline seats.  Could be that over half of US citizens didn’t use all their vacation days.  Twenty four percent said they hadn’t taken any paid leave in more than a year, according to a study by Project: Time Off.

Casa Cupula is expanding its Spa facilities to include the entire main pool area.  Several years ago a spa treatment room, sauna and shower facilities were built.  This year there are new facilities for facials, couples massage, and attended baths. The pool is a salt water pool, which is kinder to the skin and easier to float in!  It is always maintained at the proper temperature to your enjoyment.

You can spend a spa day at the pool, enjoy a spa lunch from Taste Restaurant, get a massage and facial, and use the jacuzzi and pool during the afternoon.  It’s a relaxing environment completely geared toward rejuvenation.  It’s for the LGBT community and open to everyone over 18.

Top Rated Boutique Hotel

Casa Cupula is the original LGBT luxury boutique hotel in Puerto Vallarta, and has been consistently rated one of the best hotels of any kind in the Puerto Vallarta region.  This reputation was affirmed last season with a coveted Traveler’s Choice award presented by TripAdvisor.  This award only goes to the top 1% of all hotels and Casa Cupula was the only LGBT property named in Mexico.  This year, Casa Cupula introduced courtesy car service to drop you off anywhere in the centro area.

Pool Club for Men

Last season, Casa Cupula debuted its clothing-optional Pool Club, just for men.  It is the only pool club of its kind in Puerto Vallarta offering a fabulous view of the city and Banderas Bay, as well as a bar and grill. It’s open Tuesday to Sunday 1-7pm, every day in the high season.  The pool is a saltwater type, which is better for your skin, and is temperature controlled.  A jacuzzi completes the picture.  It’s a great contrast to the relaxing Spa pool. 

Brunch at Taste Restaurant

No visit to Puerto Vallarta would be complete without taking in Sunday brunch at Casa Cupula.  One low price includes all you can eat and a Mimosa.  Brunch comes back to the Casa in mid-October for the season. Mexican and American-style food is featured with many items cooked to order to keep them fresh.  Fresh fruits, juices, lunch dishes, salads and a large dessert area are just the start of the items you can indulge in.  Don’t forget to indulge in freshly made waffles with your choice of topping. 

19 Luxurious Rooms and Suites

As a boutique hotel one of the things that sets Casa Cupula apart is that every room is unique. For example, our disabled-accessible Frida Suite celebrates the art and style of Mexican LGBT icon Frida Kahlo.  Our Penthouse Suite is stunningly modern with a mid-century vibe.  One of our newest Vista Queen rooms, 141, features a warm beach style with aqua and brushed wood style trim.

All Casa Cupula rooms are outfitted with large screen TVS, and Vista Rooms and Suites indulge you with Apple TV and home theaters.  Dream Beds feature pillow top mattresses with down pillows and 400+ thread count sheets. Suites offer dipping pools, jacuzzis or both and many offer kitchen facilities.  The namesake Cupula Suite is designed in a minimalist monochromatic theme, with a shower and jacuzzi open to the ocean view.

Since its founding in 2002, Casa Cupula has been a key part of the LGBT community in Puerto Vallarta, participating in every LGBT business association formed since then, as well as a major supporter of SETAC, Puerto Vallarta’s wellness center fighting HIV. Gay owned and operated by the same management since founding, Casa Cupula staff treats every guest as a friend, no matter who you are or where you come from.
