Tuesday Simmons and Carole Stanley grew up with two very different backgrounds on Mars – the orphan Carole having been raised by the streets of Alba City and its denizens; and Tuesday being the daughter of an elected official had a very sheltered life. After having been told to suppress her talent for singing and the guitar, Tuesday decides to leave her plush life with guitar in hand, and sets out for sights unknown. Carole who floats through life going from part-time job to part-time job barely has time to play her keyboard on a bridge for passersby. Thanks to a little luck, hard work, and their mutual love of music they not only start a band by the name of Carole & Tuesday, but also arrive on the popular talent show “Mars’ Brightest”. I instantly fell in love with this show, with at least one fun song each episode, beautiful character design, and a fast-paced story. You should be able to get through it in a weekend.  The first 12 episodes can be watched on Netflix either dubbed or with subtitles, with the rest of the series to be released later this month.
