About the QFilm Festival Long Beach

Celebrating 31 years of the best in LGBTQ independent films, the Long Beach QFilm Festival is the oldest film festival in Long Beach and the only festival dedicated to screening films which showcase the magnificent diversity of the LGBTQ community.

This 2nd largest LGBTQ cultural event in Long Beach features narrative films, documentaries, shorts and special tributes. The event reaches thousands of community members a year, and serves as a cultural event dedicated to sharing stories about the LGBTQ community through film, creating a space that brings diverse members of the LGBTQ community together, and increasing visibility for independent LGBTQ-identified and allied filmmakers.

Funds raised by QFilms directly support The LGBTQ Center Long Beach. The Center advances equity for LGBTQ people through culturally responsive advocacy, education, programs and services.

With more than 40 years’ service to the community, The Center supports more than 25,000 people a year through programs including HIV and STI testing, youth services, senior services, counseling, legal services, domestic violence support, trans health programs and more than 20 weekly support groups.
