Last night, I grabbed a beer, sat down and placed my PlayStation Virtual Reality headset on.  I was instantly sitting around a fire with a group of friends from all over the world. Being able to enter a virtual world in the comfort of my living room has only been a dream… up until this past year. The PlayStation VR is reasonably affordable at $399, if you already own a PlayStation 4.  If you’re one of the few that doesn’t own a PlayStation 4, you would need to come up with an additional $399.

The quality of graphics possible in this VR headset is amazing; however, most of the games released currently aren’t very graphically intensive. Games can run at 120Hz and the field of view is approximately 100 degrees.  This provides a very immersive experience.  Personally, I have no buyer’s remorse when it comes to this big ticket item.  The future is bright for VR and technology will make total immersion something we can look forward to very soon.
