Model, Actor and Resident DJ around Las Vegas, Nick Ayler certainly heats up any club night in a variety of ways.   With his stunning good looks and upbeat dance mixes, Nick Ayler has built an established career across the globe.  GED caught up with Ayler at a recent gig in Las Vegas.

GED: How did you get your start? What inspired you to take that up?

NA: I was first inspired to begin deejaying at the age of 15.  In between teaching children how to roller skate, I was taught how to deejay for a skating rink that hosted birthday parties. As time went on I would play the requested songs people wanted to hear and I began to recognize that music had the ability to stimulate the entire spectrum of human emotion, to its most pure and sincere form. The thought of being able to conjure up people’s happiness, and having them put it on the fore front of their thoughts quickly became a love and sincere passion of mine.  I can assure you there is no better test for your love as an entertainer, then being given a microphone at age 15 in a room full of people watching to see what the next act is and you’re the only act. My love and passion for both acting and deejaying has evolved from this opportunity that was given to me, and I am thankful for it.

GED: How do you juggle acting, modeling and deejaying?  What is your “dream” percentage of time you would want to spend in these areas?

NR: I would be lying if I said things are not tedious or have not been frustrating at certain times along the way.  With that being said, it’s difficult but not impossible. Even when living on the east coast I was working 3 jobs, while going to school.  The only difference between now and then is I now get to do what I love, all the time.  I have an equal amount of love for all sides of the industry, but because of the energy and charisma behind a set or throughout a crowd, the plan for the future is to eventually have a 50/50 split between music and acting.

GED: Who are some of your influences when it comes to deejaying?

NA: If I had to narrow it down to the top three, I would have to chose would be Armin Van Buuren, David Guetta, and Benny Benassi. Ever since I can remember walking into a club or music venue, these guys have all been at the top of their game, and on the top of the music charts.

GED: Tell us about your new album that you are working on and its scheduled release.

NA: I’m ecstatic to say that I have finally begun recording in studios in and outside of LA, as well as Las Vegas, on my new album that will be released in early 2015. The album will be a solid blend of vocals, mixed with bold bass and synths, that are full of progression. We are expecting to have a few very well known artists with us on the album. I’m not able to say who just yet, but I can assure you that you will not be disappointed.

GED: What’s your dream artist that you would love to collaborate with?

NA:   There is a vast amount of incredible talent in the industry which makes this question difficult, but if I had to chose one, it would be David Guetta. The guy has worked with the vast majority of elite recording artists and labels.  According to the world’s leading ranking system for the DJ world, djmag.com, David Guetta is number five, 12 years after his first album topped the charts in 2002.  That’s heart.

GED: Everyone has a hidden talent – what’s yours?

NA: Making people laugh. I’m an incredibly positive person, and I have always had a sincere passion to make others happy.

GED: When you’re not working, what do you do to relax?

NA: The time that I don’t spend working on music, traveling, or gigging, I try to give back to the community as much as possible by working with various charities and shelters, including the ASPCA and Make A Wish Foundation. When I’m able to find time in between those two, I’m a bit of an adventure enthusiast.  I hike and snowboard at every chance I get, and I’m in the gym 5 days a week. Relaxing is not something I’m able to do much. However, when I get to relax, I’m a fool for scenic views that let your imagination and creativity run wild. A picture is worth a thousand words, but a beautiful, scenic view will leave you speechless.  A few of my favorites are Havasu Falls, AZ, Fiji Islands, and Hawaii.

GED: Where can our readers find you?

NA: All of my latest music, mixes, images, commercials and information are directly updated to my website by me, through my twitter feed. I have two podcasts a week that are updated every Monday and Friday. More Music Mondays Mix is my Monday Podcast that contains progressive house and trance and Funky Fridays Mix is my Friday podcast that contains poolside house.
