New Year’s Resolution

Another year has passed and another underway. It’s time to make a fresh start, restart or just start something different for the new year. First and foremost, I am so happy and grateful to be back and writing again! My motto for the year is “Clear and focused” #2020vision. But before my fresh start, I’d like to catch everyone up on my absence.

Rewinding back to Jan 2019 I was admitted to the hospital for an appendectomy which should have been a simple operation; however, due to years of untreated diabetes, which I had no clue about, I stayed in the hospital’s trauma ward for two weeks in recovery. I was so focused on my work, business and career, that I neglected my health.

Let me tell you that being in the hospital makes you reevaluate your life and though this situation scared the crap out of me, it has changed my life for the better. Shortly after my “vacation” I started to focus on trying to live a healthier life. When you’re young you tend to feel like a superhero… nothing can touch you.  You feel strong and resilient, but, in reality, your health begins to deteriorate with only a hand full of us being lucky enough to survive the consequences.

In a nutshell what I’m trying to say is that we should all be mindful of just how much we put our minds and bodies through on a regular basis. Especially for a business owner, entrepreneur or even a #bosslady. Yes, we have the luxury of setting our own schedule, working at home and having control of how our business is run, but we also have to realize that it’s our responsibility to give ourselves a vacation, day off or time out from work and business to focus on our health and enjoy what we’ve already accomplished.

With that being said, here are a few options to check out in Palm Springs with health and wellness in mind.
