Not to get too philosophical on you, but Vince Lombardi once said “Leaders are made, they are not born. They are made by hard effort, which is the price which all of us must pay to achieve any goal that is worthwhile.” After binge watching the first season in a day I think no words better describe My Hero Academia or Boku no Hīrō Akademia. Kōhei Horikoshi originally wrote and illustrated the manga series, with character designs by Yoshikiko Umakoshi, screen writing by Yōsuke Kuroda, and produced by Studio Bones. The protagonist of the show is Izuku Midoriya, a young man with aspirations of attending U.A. High School, a school for people with superpowers or “Quirks”. Sadly Izuku was born without a “quirk”, and was destined to live a life of normalcy. That is until the city’s most popular super hero All Might takes him under his wing and trains him to take on his quirk of “One For All,” which if used improperly could shatter every bone in his body. To see if Izuku has what it takes to become the city’s next great hero, watch the series partially dubbed or with subtitles on Hulu.
