Dragged If you live in the Desert, when you hear the name Jersey Shore, your first reaction is to think drag queen and not the reality Television show. One way or another you were bound to hear the name at least once in the 15 or so years of entertaining in practically every venue in the Palm Springs area. Jersey Shore has appeared in desert hot spots from Azul to Zoso, Hard Rock to Hunters, Trunks to CCBC, Copa and Toucans and Wang’s, Oh my!  Plus many, many, many, more. The list of places Jersey hasn’t performed is probably easier to recite. She’s been around the block a few times and back. Jersey describes her essence in a few words, “I’m like a lollipop in the dirt. Sweet and dirty at the same time.” Yes Jersey Shore has a perverted streak, but who secretly doesn’t like it dirty? You will be violated, but with class. And it might get sticky.

Jersey Shore loves performing in the Desert. Currently every week you can catch her and some of the other local talents of the desert on Sundays for Disco Drag Brunch with Jersey Shore, quickly approaching its 2 year mark! Also, Tuesday Night Cabaret both at Georgie’s Alibi Azul. Monthly, catch a show poolside with Jersey at CCBC Resort, or across the street at Trunks. Jersey is also known for Throw Back Thursday’s with Jersey Shore at the Mary Pickford – bringing your favorite camp movies back on the big screen.

File Mar 15, 5 48 59 PMJersey is getting back to her acting roots and currently filming another installment of the TELLIE Award winning webisode, Gays of our Lives: the Palm Springs Edition as Zsa Zsa. Jersey’s past stage credits include, Regional: Hairspray as Edna Trunblad (DTL Nom.), Mensky’s Burlyesque as Leading Lady, Love! Valour! Compassion! (Buzz), Peter Pan, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream coat, A Chorus Line (Mark, Gregg), Equus (Nugget) The king and I, plus many more including a stint with the Royal Shakespeare Company in London, England. Television and film gigs include: The Gilmore girls, MTV Movie awards, and NBCs Dog Eat Dog.

Jersey also tries to spread some sunshine and insight in a weekly column Jersey’s Journal. Jersey says life is all about Karma and just being a good person… “If we can all play nice together in this world, then job done! Life is much easier with a positive attitude! There is too much negativity and drama everywhere, and if I can change one mind, then mission accomplished.” Jersey is using her writing chops on a new One-Woman Show currently in the works, including live singing and dancing. And stories! Jersey has some stories from past employment experiences… a bath house (look out Bette), adult book store, porn company, and others, so you can only imagine THAT show. Be sure to follow her on Facebook (Jersey Shore) for all performance schedules and updates.

Not everything is about money, unless it’s fundraising. Jersey feels that if you are in the public eye then use that soap box to help others. Jersey has helped raise money for such charitable cause as Toys for Tots, HIV/AIDS, Animal Shelters and everything in between. “Every bit helps,“ says Jersey. A true cause close to her heart is Mental Illness Awareness as Jersey struggles with Depression and Anxiety. “People have become aware and have encouraged and thanked me for speaking out. So awareness is key, as with anything in life. If it helps people then it can’t be a bad thing,” Jersey continued.

Jersey may not be rich or thin, but she is grateful for wonderful friends, fans, and supporters that make her happy to do what she is happy to do. Creativity is the seed of life. Jersey leaves us with these parting words: “Creativity is like sex and it’s now time for an orgy. Don’t forget to wear your rubbers.”
