DJ Max Bruce has been messing around with house music for over 30 years.  He just took an eighteen-year hiatus. Back in Toronto in the 90s, Max was a successful club, after hours and festival DJ.  But, he decided to move to LA where the jobs were better and the alcohol was cheaper.

Decades passed and Max decided he would unleash his strict sonic grip on the gay denizens of Los Angles, San Diego and San Francisco.  He is a regular at Faultline and also spins at the Eagle LA, Akbar, Precinct, the Bullet, Reflex After Hours and others.  He has been involved in such colorfully named events as Bearracuda, Grunt, Big Bad Wolf, Meat Rack and Father Figure.

For Max, it’s all about the house music… deep, tech, disco, dark and funky.  As long as it has the house music feeling, that’s where Max is at.  But, he loves the beer busts where he can break out the deep disco, alterna-classics, breaks and some good old R&R to mix it up with current house faves.  (He is especially psyched about the Faultline Leather Pride Lot Party.)

He has a semi-regular podcast called “Red Light Feeling” on iTunes, Podomatic and Mixcloud, where he features the latest underground house tracks with a classic or two thrown in.
